It seems like everything has changed since the world shut down for COVID. The level of service from companies has diminished greatly. Fed Ex is a prime example. Somehow I missed the notice that the would now only cover up to $1000 for damages to ANY piece of art, painting or otherwise. I had a commissioned painting CRUNCHED and damaged severely. That's how I found out that FedEx now only allows up to $1000 liability ----- even though I selected to purchase a higher shipment value. So FedEx advised me to seek a third party insurance company to cover my shipments. To me, that just means -- well, we will ship your packages but there's no guarantee from FedEx that will we make sure they arrive safely. Kind of like "Ship at your own Risk" kind of thing. It's Like now they don't have to care that the packages arrive in tact. It is a shift in responsibility or ownership of a situation that was their responsibility previously...
